Bunmi and Shola’s Traditional Nigerian Wedding

Where do I start? The gorgeous bride, or the head-over-heels in love groom? The immaculate venues or the glowing guests? This was a celebration of families, friends, faith and the love of two beautiful people: Bunmi and Shola.

When I met Bunmi and Shola, they seemed like a shy couple but they soon opened up and their love flowed as they frolicked in the chilly winter air for their engagement shoot. Then, just a month later, I had the opportunity to follow them around for ten hours recording every aspect of their beautiful traditional Nigerian engagement party, their glorious white wedding at their church, and their gorgeous reception at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl. Here are the highlights of their magnificent day.

Kayden’s First Christmas

Who doesn’t love babies? Well, once you see this one, you’ll want one for yourself! Kayden is a smiley, bouncy, happy baby who is celebrating his FIRST Christmas this year! At the sound of his mother’s voice, he giggled, wriggled, laughed, and smiled. The perfect baby. You can see the joy that emanates from his eyes and you can feel the pride of his mother in each photo. Although it’s only October, it makes me want to say, “Merry Christmas!”

Breastfeeding Photo Shoot Faves from The Globe, Isle of Wight

Olivia is an amazing mum–she owns two restaurant/pubs, and one of them is also a B&B! She’s also a breastfeeding mother. She was kind enough to let us use her beautifully decorated restaurant, The Globe, for Isle of Wight mums to get photos taken for the Milky Way Project UK!  Check out how they turned out 🙂

SNEAK PEEK: Lavinia’s Portrait Session

Ok, I’m not going to hide the fact that yes, I used my little girl as a model. If you’re a photographer with children, you know you’ve done it. But I must say that this portrait session allowed me to push my boundaries and be more artistic and fantastical with my photo editing. Here are my favourite shots:

SNEAK PEEK: Heather + Terry’s 50th Wedding Anniversary

It was a beautiful autumn afternoon at St. Andrew’s Church filled with close family and friends to celebrate Heather and Terry’s Golden Wedding Anniversary. Nothing could sum up the beauty of true love than seeing a couple who made a decision fifty years ago to love one another, to commit to one another through better or worse, richer or poorer, sickness and health, and still be happily married! What a miracle that God has bestowed upon them!

It has been an honour getting to know Heather and Terry and I am encouraged daily by their faith, their continuous generosity, and of course, their love.

SNEAK PEEK: Kim’s Breastfeeding Photo Shoot (Winner of 2015 Summer Giveaway!)

What a beautiful way to celebrate breastfeeding! Together with Your Natural Birth (yournaturalbirth.co.uk), I gave away a free Breastfeeding Photo Shoot in honour of the UK’s National Breastfeeding Week 2015. I now have the pleasure of sharing with you a sneak peek of her photo shoot.

SNEAK PEEK – Chrissy + Duncan = Ryan’s Family Photos

I had the loveliest time taking photos of a dear friend of mine in Hamble. It was so heart-warming to celebrate her breastfeeding journey by doing a breastfeeding photo shoot despite the dreary and drizzly weather! I admire Chrissy’s determination and dedication to breastfeeding. I took so many photos that it was very difficult to narrow down my favourites, so here’s a sneak peek of SEVEN photos, yikes! I think I’ll be editing away tomorrow 🙂

SNEAK PEEK: Christina’s Maternity and Family Session

DSC_0272Nothing makes me happier than to take maternity photos!  Maybe it’s because I’m expecting as well 🙂

Christina and Daniel are a beautiful pair.  They are such hard workers for the kingdom of God working in a private Christian school.  I was so happy to bless them with a maternity/family session!  It was a frigid winter day to take photos, but they handled it well.  Here’s a sample of their photo shoot:
