There was no detail overlooked, no final touch forgotten in this perfect wedding day celebrating two lovely people. From getting ready in a yacht to ending the day sailing off on an even bigger yacht to a 90s band, this wedding hit all the emotions–romantic notes, quaint village church wedding, tearful yet hilarious speeches, to letting loose on the dance floor–and central to it all was their unabashed love for each other. Here’s to Sarah and Paul.
Christa is a good friend of mine; you may recognise her from some portraits I took of her when I started photography. Well, I had the honour of being in her wedding party! That makes it hard as a photographer, because you want to be sure that she has the most amazing photos of her wedding, but you also want to be IN the wedding and help her with all of the other details. So I found a way to take photos of her getting ready, the first look, and some shots of the reception; but nothing of the actual ceremony.
It was a beautiful autumn afternoon at St. Andrew’s Church filled with close family and friends to celebrate Heather and Terry’s Golden Wedding Anniversary. Nothing could sum up the beauty of true love than seeing a couple who made a decision fifty years ago to love one another, to commit to one another through better or worse, richer or poorer, sickness and health, and still be happily married! What a miracle that God has bestowed upon them!
It has been an honour getting to know Heather and Terry and I am encouraged daily by their faith, their continuous generosity, and of course, their love.
